Pedigree Whitebred Shorthorn Cattle

Category:

Description

Recent additions to the farm are three Whitebred Shorthorn heifers. These rare breed cattle used to be called the Cumberland White and are traditional to the area. For many years farmers have used the bulls to cross with Galloway cows to produce Blue Greys. However, they are an excellent suckler cow in their own right being very quiet and easy to handle. They are also capable of living outside all year round, thriving on poorer grazing by having the ability to store fat over the summer and live from it over the winter.

We are keen to support the breed by building up a quality herd and will be selling pedigree stock in the future. Please contact us for more details.
